June 27, 2002 - Deck/Floor Day
The day started off with putting in the floor joists for the deck and floor of the observatory. Here the first one is being leveled off.
A shot of the three floor joists installed and leveled.
An images of the key hole in the concrete that was poured the other day. It took a little bit of prying to get it out, put it is out.
The final check with the plum bob to ensure that the deck in perfectly centred on the future pier.
And the process of laying in the boards for the floor begins. The front section of the deck will form a short deck that is outside the actual observatory.
Attaching boards to the top of the deck.
Still working on the deck.
Putting shorter sections of deck in place that will be hidden inside the observatory by the plywood floor.
